Gothia Cup 2012

Hey Hey Hey, what a week we all have had - especially Jenaya and Kai. Opening ceremonies, playing against some out of the world football teams, living with their team mates and them both playing some excellent football. Jenaya was named captain of her team - what an honour, and she did an outstanding job on and off the field.

The standard of football over here is just mind blowing. Jenaya's team had a very slow start, the team has some borrowed Swedish girls and some old ISA players that had left Singapore, so finding their groove took a little while. They were very unlucky and played a spectacular game but just could not get it in the back of the net and lost on penalties - must say Noodles penalty was smokin hot - Moose caught it all on video (along with nearly everything else).

Kai's team came up against the team who won the Gothia cup last year - Oh My what a team. They are a feeder club for the best Club in Sweden - they smoked the boys. Kai's team was smaller and younger than the teams that they encountered but they too played some great football. They had their opportunities but just could get that round ball in the back of the net - Kai's team can play the next 2-3 years in the U11's so think they will be back woot woot.

Gothia Cup finishes up to day and we are off to Denmark till Wednesday, then heading back to Sweden. We are having a fantastic time, weather has been very chilly and damp, but the sun is out today and hopefully will stay like that for the remainder of out holiday.
