Another Medal

For the trophy cabnet (well medal cabnet just doesn't have the same ring to it) anywho back to the story.......

Jenaya was selected to play in the ANZA (Austrailan, New Zealand Ass.) girls soccer team - now know as the Matilda's (original I know) anyway she accepted - she loves a good tournament our girl does. So the tournament was held last Saturday, they had to play 5 other all girl teams and basically win every game.

First game they were up against the highly thought of ISA Soccer academy - they drew with them - which was great as this was the first time the Matilda's had all played together so YAY, the next team were the Dutchies - the poor Dutchies, they had to borrow players from other teams just to take the field (mainly our team cause the girls love a good game of soccer) - they won. Next game would be their toughest opponets The German European School - now these girls are smokin hot - haven't seen them looooooooooose a tournament yet. YAY the Matilda's they beat them 2 -1 - What a exciting game - But the German school were still one point ahead of the girls so they had to win the last two matches to take home the cup..........

So the end os the story......... The Matilda's won the medal and the president of ANZA got to take home the cup...... YAY GIRLIES what a fantastic tournament......

So after the presentation they gentleman who was running it wanted to get a photo of all the girls in front of the offical sponser sign and he uttered these words:- Tall girls up the back and the pretty girls down the front - check out where Noodle is.......

Half Way Through October

and the count down to Christmas has begun - Santa is getting a very long wish list from the young boy - with stilts right at the top - The young girl would love a new bike - one just like mine, well she must want one like mine cause she is riding it all the time at the moment. Me top of my wish list is a first aid kit - well stilts and a new bike.......????

Anywho excitement is starting to build up here, we love Christmas - well I LOVE Christmas and I do just get a little out of control at that time of the year, but this year it's even more exciting cause my family - The Hewitt's are all heading this way for the big day YAY - so that is another reason why the count down has begun..........

The weekends.......

Once again a busy week, but we did get the chance to catch up with a very good friend who was passing through town. Mr D. Sloane was heading back to Oz after a couple of month over in the UK playing cricket and not much else. As always it was great to catch up with him, what wasn't so great was him leaving our place at 2am on Thursday morning ahhhhhhhhhhhh. Thursday was a struggle.

Was great to see you Sloaney, but glad it was for only a couple days. Same time next year ???

A HUGE CONGRATULATIONS

To our nephew Nathan.....Nat the rat.

We found out this morning that he has been selected to play in the Sutherland Shire U16 Rep Cricket side for this seasons. YAY Nat.

He will be receiving his "Baggy Blue" cap next month from Phil Jacques. We are pretty sure that this will not be the last Baggy" cap that he will receive. Can't wait till we are cheering for you from the member's stand at the SCG or MCG.

Marty must of had a fall - don't worry he looks ok, his speech is fine, no external injuries that I can see - but remember I am not a doctor.

So how do I know he might of had a fall well...... We have brought new furniture......

Bring It On Dad.......

The challenge has been thrown out there....... and I do love a challenge oh and competition well, competition what can I say..... Bring it on.....

After my blog about the new bread machine, a call has been made and a email sent along the lines of ; " there looks like we might have a bread bake off". Now yesterday morning this would have made me very very nervous...... But now NO ! No nerves at all, well maybe a little small butterfly in the old stomach.

Anywho back to the bake off - the bread marker came good yesterday or maybe the woman who operates the thing has finally work out how to use the thing or she just came good.

So Dad check these babies out........

More News

I have a new toy, but right now I really can't work out whether I really like my new toy or it still has to grow on me.

After our trip back to Sydney - the one I think I told you about .... ? Mum's birthday and all..... ? Anywho back to the new toy...... Up here in sunny Singapore it is pretty hard to get great bread, good bread or even ok bread. After spending some time down in Bomaderry with Mum & Dad G, oh and tasting the fantastic bread that Dad makes we decided, oh ok, I decided that a bread maker would be a fantastic idea for us.

Make me laugh or make me cry I will bake perfect bread one day soon.......

So first lesson learnt, baking bread in hot humid condition's isn't that easy,

second: getting your hands on the correct ingredient's to make bread from scratch well that isn't easy either,

third: having patience still isn't one of my strong point's,

fourth: I need to work on getting lots more patience before I throw the bread maker oh and the fantastic instructions that come with it, into the canal (aka - our waterfront) out the front of our house.

On a more positive note - I did buy a sewing machine a little while ago and yesterday I made my first dress....... So the sewing machine stay's, the bread maker well......... Will let you all know in the near future.....

The Busy Woman....

Is up to date - well I think so, I have actually run out of things to write - which is kind of odd for me, anywho I will try not to leave it so long, but like I said I am a busy woman.

So that was the first update.

I know I have been very slack and I have missed lots and lots of things, so here we go........

Happy Birthday - we all love you so very much and it was so great to have spent part of our trip back to Sydney with you, we all had a great time, as we always do with you and Mum - hope we didn't wear you out too much.

I'm A Busy Woman

Well that's what I tell the big fella anyway. We have been back now for I think 4 weeks. Our trip down to Sydney really just feels like a distant and I do mean distant memory. I don't know whether it's the heat or the humidity but coming back to Singapore is well....... interesting - that's the word I will use today . Anywho it's always fantastic to come home - where ever home maybe and we do love Singapore - well most days, I do.

So it has been a while (obviously too long for some....BEACH) since I have posted, so here I am posting and updating you all.

Jenaya & Kai have both settled back into school, was a tad concerned after 11 weeks brake, Kai loves his new school, just probable doesn't get off on all the homework in grade 3 (I have to agree with that) and Jenaya well she just loves school and is really enjoying the challenge of grade 7. All our sports have started again which makes for a very eventful week oh and busy.

Marty is as usual flat out and then there is little old me - well I'm not as old as last year or the year before - oh lets just say me... then there is me - I am just busy chasing after the family - I have done 4 paintings since getting back from Sydney. I did have a very concerning week about 3 weeks ago, something was happening with my computer well I should say not much was happening with my computer - the bloody thing wouldn't start.....STRESS... off to the Apple shop with very sweaty palms and when the guy said it's your hard drive - think it is faulty well thought I was going to faint........ I hadn't backed up my photo's from Mum's birthday. Anywho, I love stories with happy endings.... they saved all my photo's - didn't care about anything else and they had to replace the hard drive so happy happy happy me.

What A Weekend

We had.

Last Saturday we celebrated Mum's 80th birthday and what a celebration - giddy up.

Friends and family came from far and wide and boy were they ready to party and party they did.

Lots of laughs, lots of champagne and I do mean lots, a little dancing, way too much food, so much fun was had.

Think we are all still recovering..... Well I am.

And the Camilias at Grandma & Grandad's place are just beautiful.

Winter Time In Sydney

So there is no better time to hit the beach.......

The water looked so inviting, the wind well let's just say it was cooling (well freezing) and we were lucky the rain (or it could of been snow) held off. So off with all the layers and into that beautiful water for a quick 30 minute swim - what is that saying "no feeling, no........".

When the Moose's are on holidays ?

Well when Marty Moose hasn't shaved for a day or three or is four.......

So by the look of this we are on holidays YAY !!!!!!!

The Count Down Has Begun.....

With the plane ride out of the way and according to Jenaya and Kai it was the longest flight in history of air travel - go figure ?? I personally really enjoyed the flight - couple of movies, a glass of wine very enjoyable.

Anywho, with the invitations sent out months ago and the yes list as long as a very long arm (can't use my arm as it's really not that long) food ordered - check, cake ordered - check, champagne chilling - checked, excitement building - oh yes that is checked.

With only 8 days to go, we are all very pumped..........

Nothing Really Going

On in this part of the world. We only have 8 days now till we head down to Sydney for the big birthday bash. Not that we are counting or anything.....

Whoops One Last Thing....

Kai has decided that he would really love a pair of football boots that Messi has been advertising here in Singapore. They are the fastest, the lightest and apparently the bestest football boots in the WORLD - with the price starting at $159.00 WOW he knows that he will be footing (forgive the pun) the bill himself. So he has all of a sudden become very helpful with doing chores (yay) and also decided that maybe he could sell some artwork. So this is his first piece up for sale and it could be yours for a cool SGD 4. 30. I am pretty sure he will only take cash or cheque - no eftpos or credit card facilities as yet. Oh and it is an original.

So We Have Been Busy...

That's the best I can do, as to why I haven't blogged for a while. So here is a run sown of what we have been up to.

Jenaya is now coming to the end of week 6 (she thinks) of her summer school holidays and Kai is coming to the end of week 4 (I am pretty sure about this one) So they both have another 5 or is it 6 weeks left.... Anywho, as Jenaya said herself everyday just feels like Saturday - well it might to her and it might to Kai but me ahhhhhhh - I will get back to you.

Anyway back to what we have been up to, Jenaya and Kai have both been to summer camp at the Canadian school - Jenaya did 2 weeks - 1 week of explore Singapore - don't think she really found anything new that we haven't already seen - but she did have a good time, then she did a week of pottery - which she loved and I mean loved. Kai did only one week which he did ball madness - which if you know the boy he absolutely LOVED. It was all about balls what more can I say.

Then they have been swimming, cause as you know it's always summer here, sleeping over at friends places, going to the movies, playing soccer out on the road, drawing with chalk on the road, watching the world cup, picking mango's, walking Daisy, bike riding rip sticking, scooter riding, doing art work (fabulous paintings and I thought I was the only artistic one in the family) we have even managed to squeeze in a visit to the emergency room (with what we thought might have been a broken elbow, don't stress Grandma - it wasn't and we were going to tell you) - oh and the thing they both love shopping with me..... Well they probably don't love it that much. Anywho we have been busy.

And cause I have been reminded, here is the photo of the newly turned 8 year old and his racing red bike, nerf gun - which we are all having fun with and his new Brazilian football jersey (from Grandma & Grandad).

It isn't the greatest photo of the new bike, I will take a better one today when Mr 8 get's back from his first long bike ride on the beast.

Shame you couldn't make the party Chris - you would of had a hoot - maybe next year Mum & Dad will bring you up for the shin dig....... See you soon .......

Well We All Woke Up

Early today or were we woken early - we will never know !!

But you do need to get up early especially when it's your birthday yay..... So the young fella, Monkey, Kai boy was up and ready to unwrap.

So today I can I can answer some of those question's that where asked yesterday....

Yes he did get a bright red (we all know red goes faster) bike (will post photo later).

Yes he did get that new nerf gun that he wanted to shoot Naya with. The funny part of this is he asked her this morning if she could read the instruction's and put it together.......and she has. So technically it is ready for her to be shot at this afternoon - YAY for her hahahaha.

So a HUGE HAPPY BIRTHDAY wish for our little man. We all love you so much, you bring so much laughter and love into all our lives - we are just plain lucky that you are ours.
