We Went Back

to the
Wavehouse at Sentosa on Friday.

It was all part of Jenaya's birthday celebrations and

Abbey and Izzie's goodbye celebrations. What a great day was had - but boy did it rain. The kids had a hoot and I really enjoyed watching how fantastic they all are. Noodle is standing and moving across from one side of the wave to the other, Kai is on his knees and doing 360's, the
Absta is up on her knee's and cruising from one side to the other and Izzie is
darting from the top to the bottom left, right and all over the wave.

So of course once you are at Sentosa you have to go to the luge, so a couple of goes on that in the rain - apparently you can go even faster - if your Kai - when the track is wet. There was lots of whawhoooooing, trash talking going on and loads of fun.

Today Is The Day

Noodle Pop is a teenager, well not right now but at 3.28pm this afternoon our baby girl will be 13, oh my goodness.

What a beautiful young lady you have grown into,
You are the sunshine in our day - even on the darkest day,
You are the laughter in our life,
You make everyday fun,
You bring so much happiness into our lives,
You are the BEST sister ever - just ask Kai,
You are the GREATEST daughter two parents could wish for,
You are basically FANTASTIC,
And we all love you more than mud,

So Jenaya Rose have the most wonderful 13th birthday ever.

Love Mum, Dad and Kai xxxx

Maybe If I Don't Say It

Out loud then it isn't true.........

That is the theory that I have been sticking to since last Thursday the 13th January 2011 at 1.45pm. That's when I received the phone call that I had be dreading for about 4 weeks. On the other end was my bestie Francie, as always it was fantastic to hear from her, we had spoken on the phone, and skyped quiet a few times over Christmas and the new year. Francie and Jimmy had taken Absta and Izzie back to Melbourne for Christmas and now they were back home in Singapore.

Anywho back to that dreaded phone call - don't worry no one has died or even gotten hurt, the conversation was moving along very cheery and happy, then Francie said it "We have decided to move back to Melbourne"............... There was a pause maybe just a little longer than a pause, there was silence while we both composed ourselves.......

So there, I don't think I have said it out loud still, but I am afraid it is true, they leave the Sunday after Jenaya's birthday at this stage - They wanted to be here for Noodles 13th and then leave - what a bitter sweet weekend.

The O'Brien's have become such a huge part of our lives here in Singapore - Just like the Wong's did - remember they left this time last year. With both Marty and Jimmy doing lots of travel and working such long hours, Francie and I came to really depend at lot on each other, all our children get on so well, they are all the best of friends. We have leaned on each other, cried on each others shoulders - when life has gotten us down, laughed with each other until we have cried, had a few glasses of vino together oh ok maybe a few too many every now and again. We have seen families come and go, but we have always said that we would be here together until....... Well now it is until 30th January 2011.

We are going to miss them all, I really don't know how we are going to wave them good bye....

Just Waved My Baby

Girl off...... Oh she is growing up. She has just taken herself of to soccer training, HOW I hear you ask...well on her bike.

Now as I sit waiting for the phone call to say she has made it ok, I think back about how our baby girl has grown, and grown quickly - well too quickly for us. I know it doesn't sound like a big deal to many it is to me - that's another thing to list - what list, well the list "I don't need my mother for...." list..... Waiting waiting waiting - she shouldn't be too much longer now......

Ok can stop worrying she has made it - not that I didn't think she would but....... I am her Mum.

One of Moose's Birthday gifts - think he has stashed it away for a rainy day....

It's raining it's pouring, the old man is snoring........

Think We Might Be

Up to date........ Hope we are, if not I will be back tomorrow with more. I am off now, there is a game of Uno happening up in the dining room.

So Where Were We Up To ?

Ahhhhhhhhh Moose's Birthday YAY. We love a birthday and we love to celebrate. So yesterday the 5th January Big Bad Marty Moose had a birthday and guess what we are still celebrating today. Yesterday we decided that we would do the teddy tourist thing for Moose's birthday so we headed off to Marina Bay grabbed some lunch down at the new casino complex then headed up to the Sky Garden. The Sky Garden is just that... well not a great deal of garden happening but you are up in the sky, 56 stories above the ground - what a great view and lucky for us it was a cloudy day so not much sun so not so hot.

So the fun didn't end at the Sky Garden, we then headed out for some Mexican for dinner. But why just have one day of celebrating for your birthday when you can have two or maybe even three.......

So today we headed over to Sentosa to the Wavehouse so Moose and the Kidlets could surf and boogie board YEAHHHHHHH. Most enjoyable, Moose learnt how to drop
in to the wave from the top, Noodle surfed - extremely well I must say
and Kai even gave surfing a go today, then he decided standing up on the boogie board might be easier ???

A quick bit to eat then off to the luge, today Moose treated us all to five runs YAY. The track was a lot less crowed today, which made a nice change from last week when we went there with the circus group. The only thing today was the rain......The new Dragon track was closed due to the light rain fall, not that the rain slowed Club Moose down - Giddy Up.

What a great day was had, the old fella is all worn out and is having a
birthday nap in the TV room, preparing himself for the fun activities that we have planned for tomorrow...

So HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARTY MOOSE, we all love you very much, actually we love you more than mud......

Now To The Best Day Of The Year

(Except of course for my birthday hehehehehe......)

Christmas Day. Jenaya and Kai thankfully for us and the rest of our house guest didn't wake too early today. But anywho Santa came to our house and what a great bundle of goodies he left. There were pool toys, Wii games, DS games, clothes, Stilts, Lego, A Bike, Remote control car, thongs WOW. Jenaya and Kai must have been very very good.......????

We had a great day with The Circus group and some other very good friends "The Herrmann's", as usual, we ate too much and a select few drank way too much, street cricket was played, great discussion's around the table - the one's you save just for Christmas day and family. The Lamb was cooked to perfection, they say the pudding and the custard was sensational (well that might be my word but...)

So another Christmas has been and gone as always it was just wonderful and I have already started planning for Christmas 2011

So from Club Moose, we hope you all had a magical Christmas and 2011 be full of happiness, love and fun.

So Christmas Came

And went way too quickly. For those who know me, know that I love Christmas, everything about Christmas, I love the lights, the tree, the cooking EVERYTHING. This year didn't disappoint at all. My family - (The Hewitt's) came to town - fairly similar to The Circus, but just without the curly red hair and large red nose's. Moose Mannor was packed to the rafters, the old Honda was nearly splitting at the seams - who knew that you could fit 6 adults, 2 teens and one child safely in the honda ??? Anywho, we had way too much fun, can you actually have too much fun ? Well maybe you can cause we did.

Jenaya and Kai loved having their cousin's, Nanny and Aunty and Uncle around. We tried really hard to do everything that you could possible do in Singapore - (not that we did, that just sounds really exciting hey ?) Back to my story, We swam, we saw the Chrissy lights down Orchard, we discovered a new Chinese Resturant around the corner from us, we luged, we surfed, we boogie boarded, we ate, we might of drank a little Christmas cheer, skate boarding and scooter riding happened and even a bush walk was squeezed in. So yes we did have too much fun.....

Thanks to the Circus for coming to town, we all had a FANTASTIC time and we are still recovering......

Where Has The Time Gone......
