What a Visit !!!!

They say time flies when your having fun, well Club Moose must of been having loads of fun, as the last 5 days have just flown by. Dot's arrival on Thursday night was the start of it. We let her have a day of rest on Friday, well kind of. A day at the pool sounds pretty relaxing, it would have been except for the massive water fight we had with some friend of ours. Don't know who had more fun the kids or the grown-ups.....?or was it Dot with the lot...?

Then it was of to the East Coast for some Chilli Crab which by the way was sensational. We all needed an early night as Saturday we had lots planned. Dot loved the Botantical Gardens, we think she liked the Hawker food on Saturday night, we know she loved spending time with Jenaya and Kai. Sunday we had some friends over for a Lamb roast and an Easter egg hunt, which had to be completed fast before the eggs turned to liquid - mission was completed with all eggs in tacked. Monday took us to Singapore Zoo, which is always a great time. Then came Tuesday, off to Arab Street to hit the material shops and catch some of the great sights of Singapore. The end of her visit was approaching fast, did we have the energy to do anything else, the answer was YES. I always have energy for a quick shop down Orchard Road. Then came the end of her visit, as we waved her goodbye, sad to see her go, Club Moose let out a sigh, we had survived the Dot storm - just. Thanks for the visit Mum, bring on the next visitor's......

Easter Hat Parade !!

On Tuesday Jenaya and Kai had their Easter Hat Parade at school. They both had a hoot in the parade and helping (not that helpful really, maybe cause I'm a control freak ?) making them. Now we are justing waiting for the big fluffy white fella to arrive and leave a few hundred eggs. Have a great Easter....

LOOKOUT SINGAPORE.......

The air is buzzing with excitement at Club Moose. The kids are pumped, the wine is chilling, the champagne is cold - just the way she likes it. Dot with the lot is on her way.......She is wild, she is crazy, she is a lot of fun and she is the bestest Nanny ever. In just over 12 hours Dottie will be gracing us with her bright and bubble self and we can't wait. The only thing is I don't know is if I really have had enough sleep in the last week to keep up with her. You really have to be on top of your game to keep up with Dot with the lot. So wish us luck as we prepare for the Dot storm to arrive. Cheers to all (I'm sure we will be saying this a far bit over the next 5 days).

How to Brighten and Ordinary Day ?

With enough rain falling in the last 24 hours to fill a dam or ten, it's a little difficult to do anything that doesn't involve a shopping centre or eating when the weather is this bad. If you don't already know shopping and eating are the national sports in Singapore.

Anyway today I took a tour of this fine - though very wet city. It wasn't just any tour it was a tour of the beautiful house's that are in this city. We learnt about all the different cultures that have helped mould the style of house's that are scattered thoughout the different areas.

The colours of the tiles and the pastel walls, the sloping roofs, the great company (as always, thanks Kim) all helped to make a very ordinary day into an extraordinary day.

So if you ever find yourself in Singapore, rip yourself away from the shopping centres and the restaurants and take a wander down some of the side streets and look around, you will be amazed at the beautiful colours, the interesting architecture and enjoy another side of Singapore, cause I did and I still have a smile on my dial.

Weekend Soccer

This weekend saw the start of the Champions cup, this is the serious end of the competition. With Jenaya's team coming 2nd and closing in fast on the first place team (well sort of), a win was needed and a win was achieved 3-0 in a penalty shoot out. Noodle, as usual played sensational.

Then there's Monkey boy's team, they had to front up for 2 games this weekend and to keep their dreams alive 2 wins were required. The lady and the lads came through - Kai played fantastic and "Spud the super coach" thought so too and awarded him the players trophey today. Much excitement at Moose Mannor. Fun weekend was had by all.
