The Sad Thing About

moving overseas is leaving all your family and friends. One of the best things about moving is all the great people that you meet. We have been very fortunate to have met some fantastic people who not only have become wonderful friends they also have become like family. For me they have made Singapore the wonderful place that it is, for Jenaya and Kai they have become Auntie and Uncles - someone different from Mum and Dad, they haven't taken anyone's place, they have just joined the crew. Last Friday night we celebrated Christmas together and boy did we have a great night. The turkey was just delicious, the stuffing just like Nanny's, the gravy just like Grandma's, well the pudding had a new twist and so did the veggies, but that's the great thing about living somewhere new and meeting these great people, somethings are the same and other things have a new twist.

Only 9 Sleeps To Go

Until, the big fella in that red suit comes sneaking in to your house. I don't know about you but there is much excitement, at Moose Mannor. School finished last week, we are on the final run for Christmas parties - which I must say after the weekend I am very thankful for - Oh getting old. The Christmas list's have been finalised, Santa's snack has been discussed, the last off the overseas parcels have been set. Sounds like Christmas is very close to me. For me it is has to be the best time of the year, I love everything about Christmas, the lights, the trees, the shopping, how very excited the children get and how happy everyone else seems to be - just love it.

Rain, Rain and.....

well maybe the clouds here in Singapore have finally run out or rain ??? What looked like a large down pour of rain on it's way to us yesterday, just turned into a whole lot of huff and puff. We had packed up early from down at the pool made a quick dash up stair, why because rain drops the size of golf balls were starting to fall from the very grey clouds above us. After a hour or so of thunder and lightening....nothing not another drop of rain fell. I must say the clouds put on a great show. The storms here in Singapore are always amazing, how quickly they appear and disappear, the amount of rain that thumps down and of course the thunder and lightening. Just not very amazing when you get caught in one.

HALLOWEEN OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Was last Friday,, which I'm sure you all knew anyway......Well here at our condo they do trick or treating, it's like a small child's heaven. Knock on a door and you get candy, knock on another door and you get chocolate - sounds pretty great to me and I'm well, let's just say over 39. Jenaya and Kai were so excited about the idea, knock - candy, knock - chocolate, so all dressed up and ready to trick or treat. With large teeth in and a large plastic bag to collect all the goodies in they were off. Now we have two large bags filled to the top with Candie, chocolate and chips, whether they can get through it all before next Halloween is yet to be seen, but boy did they have a great night. BOO

THE PART II

of the Vancouver wedding has been and gone. What a weekend was had by the Moose's. As usual the time went way too quickly, but loads of fun was had. The weather was wonderful and the location, well just beautiful. We had a great weekend in Kangaroo Valley, it was great to catch up with everyone again. Dave and Dianna, just back from their honeymoon looked great and seemed very happy to do it all over again, oh and everybody else looked pretty happy to party all over again.
